This is a low-clearance, indoor drilling rig preparing to sample soils and install a well near a sump in a dry cleaning shop that is being decommissioned. Key test locations can also include near floor drains, chemical storage areas, by the dumpster, and others.
A groundwater monitoring well has been installed adjacent to the former waste storage area, just behind the dry cleaning machine. Traces of perchloroethylene (PCE, or perc) were detected in shallow soils, but not in groundwater.
