250-gallon home heating oil storage tank installed in the 1950s was removed in 2012. Tank was never removed after natural gas was connected to house. Here, tank contents of kerosene oil are pumped out of the tank before removal.
After inerting tank with dry ice, contractor removed tank with mini-excavator under fire department supervision. Soil samples were collected from tank hold to document soil conditions.
